The Nativity

This is the beautiful nativity that Grandma gave us. I'm so glad we can have it! Mom always put up a nativity scene at home, and it would seem so strange not to have one up! The real miracle of Christmas is that God became a man. The song "He's Emmanuel" is one of my favorites that the Voices of Praise sing at Christmas time. It truly expresses the wonder that we should feel when we hear the Christmas story.
The first verse says,

Who is this Baby lying asleep where cattle feed?
Who is this Babe that merits not a bed?
Yet angel choirs proclaim the glory of His name,
And wise men by a star to Him are led.

He's Emmanuel!
The God of all the ages, come in human flesh to die in sinners' stead.
Though He was God, yet He was pleased to live on earth with men.
But why these swaddling clothes, this cattle stall, and why this manger bed?
He's Emmanuel!

What a joy for me to see this, and the crystal bowl etc; and know they are bringing you and Jordan much joy in your first home, for your first Christmas. :)
