Something actually worth writing about...

Jordan here. While I don't anticipate that there will be many people who take any interest in this post, there may be a few of you who can appreciate the item pictured.

I am in the slow process of changing my gun collection around. I have some guns from high school that no longer have much of a purpose, so I am working on selling them and purchasing different guns. I found this revolver on the internet, and it arrived yesterday. It is a Dan Wesson 744. It came with two different grips and with a 6" barrel and an 8" barrel. The beauty of Dan Wesson revolvers is that they are the only revolver that has truly interchangeable barrels. It takes me about 2 minutes to switch barrels. And, because I am the one installing the barrels, I can tune the gun to shoot how I want it to, rather than relying on the manufacturer to do things right. This gun is in .44 magnum. The .44 mag used to be the largest handgun caliber available, but has since been surpassed. Regardless, it will still pack quite a wallop!

Hopefully next year it will put some meat in the freezer. Jenn keeps asking me to fill the freezer with venison for her!

jordan, you'd be so proud of me because just yesterday i was extremely brave and gave in to mike's begging to go out & shoot trap with him. what i didn't know was that the guns he took out were 12 gauges! the last time i shot one of those i was 9 and it put me flat on the ground on my back! :O but, being the daring person i am, i not only shot it, but beat mike to 5 clay pigeons!! (ok, out of 25, but still) anyway, cool gun there. :) i can just see you all excited and laying the gun & the parts down on the floor to get the perfect picture! hahhahahahahaha!

The picture is great, but there's truly nothing like seeing her in real life. 2 minutes? Wow, I'm impressed. Maybe come deer season you'll be down to 1:30 in barrel-switching. I think they should make that a sport in and of itself. Great blog, but even a great gun! Looking forward to the venison, Jenn! She's becoming quite the "woodsman's wife" up here. (And I mean that in the best way possible, Jenn!)
