This is a little late in coming, but I didn't want to miss this opportunity to say a great big
CONGRATULATIONS
to my brother-in-law Luke William Horak! On Saturday, May 6th, he officially graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Let's see, what can I blog about Luke? Hmmmm.... I can always count on Luke to fill the empty moments of my days at work with stimulating chats on googletalk. OK, maybe 'stimulating' is a little over-the-top, but at least they help relieve the boredom! :) Although, I have to say that it is a good thing that Luke is graduating with such a high GPA (I think it's a 4.0 or a 3.99999999....you get the idea!), because it sure seems like he spent a lot of time playing broomball, volleyball, basketball, paintball, etc, etc, and so forth. I don't think there are very many people that could spend that much time playing and still manage to keep a shining scholastic record 'on the side!' But, Luke is sort of amazing like that. And while I'm rambling on about Luke, let me put in a little plug for his blog: http://www.xanga.com/lwh723/
I always enjoy your blog, Luke - I just like to give you a hard time about it! But I have to tell you that I am getting a little tired of the mushroom picture! ;)
I'm looking forward to your visit in just 2 more days! I don't have any Country Living magazines to look through with you; how does Pottery Barn sound to you? ;) Well, even if we can't look through magazines, I'm sure we'll be able to find lots of fun things to do while Jordan and Grant destroy their brain cells on Halo! :D
You've been a great friend and Jordan and I are really proud of you for the work that you've done in college! We will continue to pray for you as you begin your new job!
