Iowa...where corn is cool.

Well, here we are in Iowa!

We had so much fun with the Horaks! I had a great time watching Dick Van Dyke shows with Andria and Anna, and watching "Firewall" and "Hide and Seek" with Luke and Grant and Jordan. We also got to go to church at Faith Bible again, which is always a treat. We were excited to see Jordan's uncle John and aunt Pat as well as his great-grandma. Jordan got to play lots of basketball and even went fishing for a little while. We went to Jason & Julia's apartment on Monday night, so Jordan got a little X-Box in with Jason. (Julia, your apartment is so beautiful! I love the way you have it all set up in there! And thank you so much for the tacos. I absolutely LOVE that meal!!) On the 4th we went to the Days' and played volleyball for a few hours before heading over to Cedar Rapids to explore all of the downtown activities with Jason & Julia and Julia's mom. We ended up watching the fireworks with a bunch of friends from Jordan's old church. Jordan said that the fireworks were a lot better last year. I hope so, because I was a little disappointed that a big city like Cedar Rapids had such wimpy fireworks! :) We had a great time visiting over at Jordan's grandparents' just before we left. They always give us some kind of treat, so that's always fun (haha!). Seriously, I always enjoy a visit with Grandma and Pa, even if there weren't any pies or ice cream treats on hand! :D Our trip home was interesting because our car died about 5 miles from home, but thankfully Jordan works for the best boss in the world. Bobby Wood pulled himself out of bed at 11pm to rescue us (thank God for him!); then Jordan replaced the alternator a couple of days later and the car is running fine now (PTL)!
