My dearest darling Thurlow,
Hmmm, maybe I should not have told you that I loved birds! You are such a silly. To think that you sent me three French hens today is quite ridiculous, but they are very diverting. Did you really have them shipped here all the way from France? You are so original! My little brother is building a coup for them in my room. However, they are not getting along with the partridge or the turtle-doves, so I am trying to keep them separated. I do hope they shall all be good friends soon.
