Weekend in the Windy City

Jordan and I took a trip this past weekend down to Chicago, IL to attend the wedding of one of his good friends from back in IA, Jared Barta. We drove down on Friday night (enjoying the toll road experience along the way) and spent the night at a hotel where we reconnected with several other friends from IA. The wedding was Saturday afternoon. It was freezing cold outside, but inside the church was beautiful! Becca used lots of twinkle lights and candles to light their reception and made everything very pretty. It was a lovely wedding and we enjoyed the time spent with friends. After the wedding, we drove up to Milwaukee to visit one of Jordan's friends, Ross Olson. We spent a fun evening with him and his girlfriend Michelle chatting and playing Settlers (Jordan won, of course!). :) Sunday morning we went to church with Ross before heading on our way back up to Northland. We got back home just in time to be able to make it to a SuperBowl party and watch the Colts win (yay!) at the William's house. :) Overall, it was a very good, but very tiring weekend! We stayed up really late both nights which reminded us that we are no longer college kids!! ;) Heehee!
Well, I did end up taking a few pictures from the wedding. None of them are very good, but at least it gives you a good idea of what it was like. After all, few things will put a person in a romantic "Valentines" mood like some good ol' wedding pictures! ;)
