In-Service Week
This past week was in-service here at Northland. It flew by! That's the main reason I have been so delinquent in my blogging this week. :P Meetings from 8:30 - 1:30 or 2:30 followed by two or three frantic hours in the office running damage control before running home momentarily and then off to whatever evening activities are planned! Needless to say, there has been very little motorcycle riding this week! :( We've had a lot of fun, though, and it's great to get together with the rest of the faculty and staff once again! The theme of the week was "Pursuing the Mind of Christ." I was especially challenged by the messages preached by Dr. Horn and Dr. McLachlan. We are so blessed to be here at Northland during this exciting time! God is shaping the faculty and staff in a remarkable way, and the fruit of this work will surely last for generations as students are sent out from this place to serve in God's ministry. Jordan and I will be among those sent out from this school, and I am amazed and humbled when I realize how blessed we have been to be students and staff members here. The classes, of course, are phenomenal; but the greatest lessons taught here at Northland are articulated by the very lives of the faculty and staff. There are so many things that I learned in class that mean so much more now that I know the heart of the person who taught them. So, all that to say, it's been a good week. And even though part of me rebels against the thought of summer ending and school beginning, deep down I am thankful for what God has called us to do for yet another year!

I am very thankful for the time Don and I had at Northland as well. Even though it was tough coming out from Northland, feeling less of a teacher than those from other schools. However, the Lord taught me a lot through that and allowed me to see some of the great strengths that Northland gave me!
I don't have any birthday plans yet i don't think... i was just posting that now so i wouldn't forget to post it.
