Dickinson County Fair, Norway, MI

This past Friday, Jordan and I attended the Dickinson County Fair in Norway, MI, for the third year in a row. We like to time our visit so we can go to the Demolition Derby too.

We arrived in style on the motorcycle an hour or so before the Derby so we could walk around the fair a little. We came across a pavilion featuring some music. The man performing was very charismatic. He seriously could have been Professor Harold Hill from "The Music Man"!

After watching him for a while, we took a walk through the barns to look at the animals. You have to check out the picture of the bunny...the chin on that thing is incredible! I don't know how he eats without it getting in the way! Haha!

As we walked across the fairgrounds to the Derby we saw this guy...

...Not really sure what he was thinking when he got dressed that day. I mean, besides the fact that his pants are apparently too big for him, his shirt choice is very ironic!

The derby turned out to be a really good show and a lot of fun!

Got to see a lot of good crashes, heard some tires pop, saw some engines smoke, and all that good stuff....

I would have to say the only down-side of the Derby was the man sitting next to me who smelled like the inside of a beer can. PEEEEEW!

After it was all over, the guys stood around to exchange congratulations on how well they crashed each other's cars.... Are we crazy!? Maybe I do have a little 'redneck-ishness' in me, considering I actually like the Derby and beg Jordan to take me every year! Haha!
