It's funny how moments shape our lives.
We live each day, taking the next step.
And then the moment arrives
And everything changes.
The change is viewed by us
As a good thing or bad.
But overall,
We know that every change
Is brought about by the loving hand of our Father.
And all the steps that led up to the change
And the circumstances surrounding that moment
Are harmonized into a beautiful prelude
That brings great glory to God.
But that prelude can only be heard in retrospect.
I think you know what I mean.

The change is viewed by us

This week, Jordan and I decided that we are going to Faith Baptist Theological Seminary in Ankeny, IA, next fall! He will pursue his M. Div., and I will attempt to be a good seminary wife (after all my hard practice over the last couple years!). ;) Praise the Lord for His goodness in leading us!
Thank you to those who have prayed. We are so excited for this next step in our lives! I will keep you updated as the details fall into place!

Yeah! I'm happy for you all! You are and will be the perfect seminary wife!
Your thoughts reminded me of something I recently read (not sure where). Anyway, I read that our ability to look at things and classify them is one way that we reflect God's character. Think about creation, each time God made something, He stopped and decided "it is good". We think, well, of course, it's God. But we do that all the time as well and it is a reminder of that we were created in the image of God. Wow, what a thought! We are like God in many of our ways; but, definitely not in ALL our ways! =)
i'm SO excited you're going there! it will be so wonderful to have u so close! i miss u! xo
I am ELATED!! Not only to have you in Iowa ;) but to see the hand of the Lord guiding you each step of the way. I know you and Jordan are looking forward to the next "stage" of life. We will be praying for you guys!!!
I'm happy to hear you've made a decision for seminary even if it's not Central in Virginia Beach. :)
jen! it was SO fun to have you guys in milwaukee last night! i'm so excited to hear about your IA plans @ faith. God is going to use you guys greatly, and i'm so happy you are willing.
have a wonderful weekend!
Glad to hear how things are progressing for you both. You will continue to be in my prayers as you pursue God's will for your life. I've heard it is no easy task to be a seminary student's wife with the agenda that must be kept so I will pray for you as a wife that you can be supportive and understanding through that time. God bless!
Oh, wow! It will be so good to have you two AND jaju+1 all in the same direction. Your Mom HAS to be ecstatic.
The Seminary wive's training will be so good for you. Wish Jeanna could have had that experience. I'm sure you'll gain a lot from your own training. And you will be greatly used somewhere in the area.
I'm hoping we'll see more of you, but I realize your Mom and Jessica might be doing more of the traveling thata way.
Congratulations on this big decision.
