This past weekend was wonderful!!! It actually started on Wednesday...we left Northland after work and drove to my mom's house in Minnesota. We got there about midnight and spent the whole day there on Thursday (more on that later). On Friday we drove down to Ankeny, IA to visit Faith Baptist Theological Seminary for the day (more on that later as well!). That evening we drove over to Cedar Rapids to visit Jordan's family. On Saturday (Jordan's 25th birthday!), Jordan spoke at a youth conference in Cedar Rapids. They sang "Happy Birthday" to him, but sadly my video will not load for some reason. :(
Saturday evening we celebrated Jordan's birthday with his family. He is such a spoiled boy...his grandma and mom made 3 different kinds of pies and served it with ice cream and cool whip! :) After the party, Jordan, Luke, Grant, Anna D, and I watched a totally retarded movie (and this is coming from someone who is very easily entertained!). Of course, when we picked it out at the movie store it looked like it was going to be great...but the write-up was definitely deceiving! It was called "Civic Duty"...if you ever have an opportunity to watch it, don't even think twice...just turn it down!
Anyway, I did get to see something really great while I was down there - the Celtic Woman "A New Journey" DVD!! That was so fun! I absolutely love love love Celtic Woman, so it was really neat to see their show!
After church on Sunday, the boys spent a good deal of time on the new 4-wheelers. I am not sure why, but they mostly just rode around trying to find mud puddles to go through. I do not understand what the attraction is...I guess there is only so much to do on a 4-wheeler.... Anyway, I got a ride too, and got a lot of mud on me!!! :D Thankfully, I wasn't there when they went through the really big mud puddles! :P Jordan and Grant were pretty gross when they got back from that!
