Company!

Mom and Jess came up for a visit this past weekend! I was so excited to have them stay with us! The days just flew by, of course, but we had so much fun!

Jordan and I drove down to Green Bay to meet up with Mom & Jess on Saturday afternoon. Just for fun, we brought Megan along with us to surprise Jess. After a couple hours of glorious shopping at the mall, Mom treated us to Applebees! :)

On Sunday the weather warmed up to a whopping 30+ degrees, so Jess and I convinced Mom to go for a walk around the 5-Mile Loop with us. Apparently Mom wasn't up to that strenuous of a walk...so Jess & I got a good work-out! ;) On Monday Mom took a nap while Jess & I did the walk again. :D On Tuesday we celebrated Jessica's birthday. We had yummy Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and Homemade Breadsticks (good choice, Jess!). For dessert, we had Molten Chocolate Cakes. Seriously, you need to check out this recipe and give it a try! I pulled it off of the KraftFoods website (which I love!) and first tried it for our Valentines' Day meal. My review would be that they are super easy and extremely delectable! ;)

Jordan was a real pill all weekend for getting pictures with. This is an attempt by me to get a picture with him. Can someone please explain to him that picture-taking time wouldn't take so long if he would just cooperate?! Anyway, he's still cute, even when he's not posed for a picture, isn't he? ;)

"Happy Birthday Dear Jessica"
You will probably notice that I am pretty much the only person singing...Mom didn't start singing until the second line of the song, and Jordan didn't sing at all; his only contributions were the silly comments you can hear in the background! The drawback to having Molten Chocolate Cakes for a birthday is that they don't really hold a candle well, so I just lit one of my candles and had her blow that out. I know; kinda weird; but we do what we can to make things special at our house! ;)

Jordan of course was busy in the Library in the evenings, so we girls watched some chic flicks and had girl-dates at the Grind. :)

I miss her so much!

I'm so glad Mom & Jess could make the trip up here! It was such a wonderful time, and I'm missing them again already! We had a lot of special times together. I'm so thankful for my sweet family!

Um, I agree I love the Kraft Foods Website. I go to it all the time and try new things all the time. but I haven't tried that Molten cake one yet. I will have to put it into my recipe box. It looks like you had a great time.

I'm glad to know the molten cakes are good! I've been wanting to try them, but am waiting for an occasion to justify the extra calories! And you must be so proud that Jordan knows the difference between a hiccup and a burp! Glad to see grad school has baid off for him! :-)
