Every weekday morning, I brew my coffee right before I leave for work.
Little side-note here: I just have to say that over the last few months God has given us such a nice little blessing by providing wonderful coffee for us for free! I know it's such a little thing...I did enjoy the cheap brand of coffee I was drinking before...but it's just so nice to have such delicious coffee to drink, especially since it was free! I got free Gevalia coffee (Blueberry Creme and a signature blend) from Food Pantry. Then one day when I was at the Mail Room, the man in front of me in line received a package from Gevalia with some Indian blend coffee in it. He said that he had started a diet and couldn't drink coffee now, and asked if I would like to have it. Of course I said yes!!! Then, a week or so later, Jordan and I were at the Grind and one of the workers asked if we would like some free coffee beans. I told him we didn't have a grinder, but he offered to grind it up for us right then. There were four different blends: Hawaiian Hazelnut, Hazelnut Creme, Door County Creme, and Raspberry Almond - about 1 pound total, I think. I love both Gevalia and Door County coffees! The Grind just started serving Door County coffee this fall, and it is really good!!! So, anyway, isn't that just a special treat? :)
Right now I've been using Door County Coffee - arguably the best coffee out there! I dump one blue packet of ‘sugar’ into my travel mug and then I pour in the perfect blend of coffee and creamer. I screw the lid on the mug, and step out the door for the 7-minute walk up to my office. The coffee mug keeps my hands warm all the way there, and once I have sat down at my desk, I take my first sip. Ahhh…. Yes, it’s a good morning. :)
