The Trees Are Raining!

This morning we woke up to 4" of new snow on the ground!!! :P Not exactly a welcome sight on March 13th (or any other day of March, for that matter)! By lunchtime, the temperature had warmed up to 36 degrees, and as I was walking back to my office from the Dining Hall, I noticed such a strange phenomenon. The trees were raining! All the snow that had fallen on them was melting and raining down to the ground! It was so strange to walk along and as I would come up to a tree, I could hear the ‘rain storm’ going on underneath it. Anyway, I don’t think I had ever seen something like that before, so I decided to post about it along with a picture of me in (hopefully) our last snowstorm of the year! :)

Cute picture! I was in NY this past week and it snowed while I was there; I was so excited as I haven't seen more than a few snow flakes in 4 years! We went to Seattle the first week of March and it was warm and sunny. I'm just praying it will be warm in Kansas City, MO this week as we're going to visit Russell's family on Sat. I'm sure you will get warmer weather soon. It kind of looks like you are in a snow globe. :)

It sounds like something one would read from one of the Chronicles of Narnia books. Granite got up to 53 degrees yesterday! our gravel driveway is a muddy mess! Spring is definitely on the brink. Yeah!
