Favorite Things Friday

I love having company! I think it is so fun to have people come to visit us. It's great to clean the house while planning out the time we're going to spend with our company...thinking about the meals I will make, the games we will play, the topics of conversation we will have, the activities/special events we will participate in (since we live so far away from everyone, having company usually means there is a special event going on!), etc.... Of course, since I am my mother’s daughter, I feel a little pressure to have the house all cleaned and in order and to make sure that the food is good and that everyone has a good time. But, I suppose that is good as long as I don’t let my perfectionism get out of hand! ;) I just love sharing our home and all that God has given us with our family and our friends whenever we get the chance! I feel so rich and blessed being surrounded by the people that we love in our own little home. Plus, I think it may be a little bit of my left-over little-girlishness because having company over is like the ultimate in ‘playing house!’ Heehee! :)
