I love baking!

I think it started when I was a kid. One of the first things my mom taught me to make was chocolate chip cookies. From about age 13 on, I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies almost every single Wednesday afternoon during the school year for my mom to take to church for her 'JOY Club' class. I had that recipe down pat! It's still memorized to this day! :D

I find that baking is just a great way for me to relax and wind down. I think it's because baking gives me a creative outlet, but it also forces me to slow down as I have to wait for the cookies, bread, muffins, brownies, pies, or whatever-it-is to bake! There's just such a wonderful homey feeling about baking too. I always wish that I had more excuses to bake things, but I try to curb my addiction by keeping in mind that there's only Jordan & I around to eat my creations! :) Maybe I should open a bakery...?!
