Labor Day Eve ... (for lack of a better title)

On Sunday we went to church in Monticello with Jordan's family. Andria was so kind to host Macy (in her kennel, of course) at her new apartment during the few hours that we were all at church. Macy told me that she liked it there very much - Thank you, Andria! ;) At Sunday School we heard such a great lesson from one of the men in the church about how God views us when we sin and how our sin affects our relationship with God. Sunday morning's message was an encouragement as well and it was good to fellowship with the church family there. I am so glad that Jordan's family has been able to find such a good church after searching for so long! It is a big answer to prayer! Luke & Anna came for church as well (they usually go to a church in Cedar Rapids), so it was fun to have almost the whole family together (unfortunately, Dad had to work)! After church, the boys moved some things into Andria's apartment for her and then we all headed to a pretty park nearby for a picnic! The weather was so perfect...we had such a great time! Later, we all headed back to the house to hang out. Grant & Jordan gave Jess & I rides on the 4-wheelers (that was so fun!) and Anna & I played some games and painted her nails. :) Grandma & Pa stopped by for a last visit, too! We had so much fun seeing everyone and doing so many fun things together all weekend! Can't wait for next time!

Macy was sweet and took a nap on Grandma's lap

On our way home, we stopped at a gas station that had this big man carved out of a tree out in the yard. We walked over to see who he was, but there was no identifying plaque or anything. Jess wanted a picture with him, cause she kinda has a thing for cowboys! Heehee! ;)

Jess and I realized we didn't have a picture together yet, so we took one before leaving the gas station. We both look like we're at the end of a long day! Haha! Oh well, it was a really fun weekend together even if we didn't take many pictures with each other! :D
