Favorite Things Friday

I know, there's less than two hours left in this day, and I am just now getting around to posting my FTF post!! :P

I don't remember if I have mentioned this before, but I've started playing piano for events in the area (just whatever I can find...dinners, weddings, etc.) for some extra cash. It's been a fun experience so far! Definitely the best job I've ever had! ;)

So my favorite thing today is this new black dress my mom got me for my birthday! :) I wore it last night to an event that I played piano for. It was a dinner that a wealth-planning company was hosting for their clients, so it was pretty formal. It was held at the Des Moines Club, which is located at the top of the Ruan Center (the second tallest building in the city). The view from up there (it's on the 34th floor) was amazing! I could have stared out the windows for hours! I played from 5:30-7:30ish and it was so cool to watch the sun go down over the city and all the lights come on! Anyway, it was really fun to play for their event, but the best part was wearing that pretty dress! My favorite part of the dress is the way it swishes when I walk! Heehee! :) I told Mom that I would take a picture of myself in it, so I coerced Jordan into taking one of me before we went to bed. :) Thanks for the pretty dress, Mom!!! It was absolutely perfect for that event, and I'm sure it will be for many more to follow! :D
