The Last Weekend of March

I am a little behind in my blogging.  This particular post should have been published a good three weeks ago, but I guess it's better late than never!!

The last weekend of March, we got to have some company!  Jason & Julia were in town because their church was having a couple's retreat here!  Friday night, Jason & Julia and their friends from Cedar Rapids, Mike & Eltza, came over to enjoy some dessert with us!  We hadn't met Mike & Eltza before, so it was very fun to get to know them.  Jordan showed off all of Macy's tricks to everyone and Macy performed beautifully.  ;)  We've been trying to work with her on not getting so excited when she meets new people.  This is very difficult because Macy by nature just loves people...she can hardly contain her excitement at meeting a new person!!!  (We've had to resign ourselves to the fact that we can't count on her as a guard dog...she would definitely greet a home intruder with wagging tail and outstretched tongue!!  Haha!)  Then, on Saturday, Jordan & I met up with Jason & Julia and Mike & Eltza for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory!  It was so good!!!  We had such a fun time with them all, but unfortunately I don't have a picture since my suggestion to take a picture was not favorably accepted.  Party poopers!  I'll let Mom deal with you guys later!  Ha!  :P

The Cedar Rapids group had to head back home Saturday night in a snowstorm (we had such nasty weather that weekend!), but Sunday was thankfully a very lovely day.  Mom, Julie, and Jess had spent the weekend at Jason & Julia's house watching Kaden as well as Mike & Eltza's little guy, Fox.  Julie had to go back to WI Sunday evening (So we didn't get to see her!  Bummer!!!!), but Mom & Jess drove over to visit us after church Sunday afternoon!  They only made one wrong turn, so they made pretty good time getting here!  Haha!  We rushed over to the mall so Jess could do a little shopping she apparently didn't finish at the Coral Ridge mall the day before!  ;)  Then Mom treated us to supper at Cheddars!!!  We went to church together that evening, and afterwards Jordan played in the volleyball tournament.  The championship game wasn't until 9:30ish, so Mom & Jess and I ran to Target to work on starting a baby registry there!  We had so much fun doing it!!!  I was so glad to have Mom's expertise and Jessica's...scanning ability?  Heehee!  ;)

We tried not to stay up too late Sunday night, though it was hard since Mom & Jess were there for such a short time!  Monday morning, they went with me to my appointment with the midwife.  It was so fun to take them along with me and have them be able to hear the baby's heartbeat!!  (Jess & I had tried to find it with her stethoscope Sunday night, but we were unsuccessful.  I had read somewhere that we might be able to find it, but I guess maybe it was a little too early?)
