Outdoor Adventures

By Thursday evening, it was quite apparent that our baby had no intention of coming on her due date. So, instead of making a trip deeper into the city to go to the hospital, we decided to drive out of the city and spend some time hiking around on some public hunting land. We took Macy along (who thrives on these types of excursions!), so she could get some exercise and training. It was a gorgeous evening for it! The drive out there and back was beautiful. There are so many amazing houses out there, too!!! One in particular that was still in the process of being built and seriously looked like a castle! Incredible! Our hike was great too. We saw lots of wildlife (deer especially...Jordan's just chomping on the bit for the hunting season to get underway!), and managed to make it home without any poison ivy or ticks! Just a wet and tired doggie! :D

At one point, I very nearly stepped on this guy (it's hard to see what's down by your feet when you're tummy gets this large!). I think he's the biggest beetle I've ever seen!!! Yucky, yucky, yucky!!!! :P

Macy loves playing in the water. I saw her leaning over a steep embankment trying to get something in the water, so I turned on my camera just in time to catch a clip of her dunking herself! It's so funny! :D
