Boys/Girls Weekend

Did you know Jordan loves to fish?

Well, he does. (Okay, so I'm being a little facetious. Anyone who knows Jordan knows that he loves doing pretty much anything outdoors-y!)

So do his brothers. And his dad, I think. Or at least he enjoys fishing with his boys.

A couple months ago, Jordan came up with a plan to go on a fishing/camping trip with his dad and brothers. This past weekend that plan materialized. And we Horak girls stayed together and comforted one another as best we could while our men were out doing manly things. ;)

True to form, Jordan made the fishing trip into a contest to see who could catch the most fish. There is a little controversy over who actually won...but I think it's safe to say that it was Jordan and not Grant who came out on top! ;) Lucky for me, Jordan's dad took some pictures while they were out there!

We girls went to a Horak family reunion Saturday afternoon.

Daniel & Andria (who are expecting Serena's first cousin on the Horak side in March) were there

Jordan's Uncle Craig was there. He wanted to hold Serena, but she was being a little cranky, haha!

See, she was even being cranky for me right then! It was time to eat!!!

Serena wore her pretty flouncy dress to church. She looked so sweet sleeping in Aunt Anna's arms!

Me with my babe

Grandpa got a hold of Serena as soon as he could after returning from the fishing trip! By the way, check out those cheeks on that little girl! Haha!

Two pretty girls all dressed in pink!

The four of us after our fun girl-weekend! :)

I am your mom in law's friend from Illinois (I check up on the baby news now and then) and I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of all you did in being involved in the safe and natural birth of your daughter. You made comments that aren't often uttered from a first time mom and you carried through as best you could (I mean knowing that things don't always go as planned which is ok) and came out on top, praise God!! This coming from a mother of 4 and 3 time home birther..good job!! Also, by the way, your babe is a sweety and you are such a good mama..keep it up.
In Him,
Tonya
