The same day Jordan took Rocky I back to Jay's, we found out we are expecting our second baby! We then started thinking that waiting until October for another puppy might not be too great of an idea. By that time, I would be over half-way through my pregnancy. Plus, it would be nice if the puppy were as old as possible before the new baby entered the scene. So, Jordan started looking for another option. He still wanted to get an English Cocker, but started to consider other breeders besides Jay (though we like him a lot!). He found one actually up by Mankato! The pup was named Rocket and was already 11 weeks old. The breeder, Mark, had kept him from his last litter. However, he was willing to part with Rocket since he was getting married and moving and just wasn't at a good point in his life for a puppy. So, Mark & Jordan worked out a deal so that Mark could still breed to the puppy and a couple days later we had Rocky II! It's been really nice to have an older puppy. He's much easier to train than Rocky I was! He's already retrieving, too, and showing lots of potential as a great hunting dog! He's really sweet and loves to cuddle and be pet (very unlike Macy at that age!). Macy is having a little harder time accepting him than she did with Rocky I. I'm sure things will work out between them eventually! ;)
