Our Next Adventure

Life has been a very interesting series of events for us. I could never have guessed when Jordan and I said "I do" all the different things we would be doing! But all along the way, God has been faithful to show His goodness and sovereignty in our lives.

Several weeks ago, Jordan received a phone call from a man (G) he had met a few times who runs a small Christian camp in southern Iowa. He is wanting to step down from his position at the camp and offered it to Jordan. Our knee-jerk response was "thanks but no thanks." We've really never imagined ourselves in the camping ministry. But, a couple days later, we found that we were both still thinking about it. So, Jordan called G back for more details. Over Memorial Day weekend, we drove up for a visit. Long story short, we feel this is the ministry God wants us involved in and we are moving up there at the end of this month! We are really excited about what's in store for us at The Oaks Christian Camp in Bonaparte, IA! Jordan has a great vision of what he would like to do with the camp and (I hope this doesn't sound too cheesy!) I think he will be an AMAZING camp director! We hope to see God glorified through this ministry!

The camp doesn't have a website yet, so I have nothing to link you to for more information (don't worry, building a website is close to the top of the priority list!), but they do have a Facebook page! Unfortunately, since my only internet access is through my phone (hence, the recent blogging drought), I am unable to find pages like that through Facebook mobile, so you're on your own with that one! ;)

I will be pretty busy packing and moving over the next two weeks, but once we're settled I should be able to resume blogging as we will finally have internet access again! It's not such a simple process to blog with my phone (typing takes a little longer, haha)! But I wanted to get this posted so you all would know how you can be praising God for His work in our lives and praying for us during this time!
