"Cogy"

The Bretster is really sweet with Cody, though he mostly leaves him alone.  He usually calls him “Baby” still; but when he says “Cody” it comes out “Cogy.” I love it! He’s really into identifying everyone by name all of a sudden.  He calls himself “Bet” and Serena is still “Enen-na.”  But he also knows “Gammie” and “Gamma” and “Gampa” and “En-na” (which is very similar to the way that he pronounces Serena’s name, just with one less syllable).

Lately, Bret’s been giving his toys to Cody.  He doesn’t seem bothered by the fact that Cody doesn’t so much as look at the toys, but I think it’s pretty sweet that Bret obviously wants to play with him!

Serena is getting to be so good at “reading!”  Not only has her vocabulary gotten very large, but she has all her books basically memorized.  Whenever we get new books at the library, she wants them read to her over and over, and I can tell she is just soaking in every word.  After a day or two, she is able to read them to herself, so the demands for constant book-reading dissipate until the next bunch of library books comes along!  ;)
