"How I Help"
The kids love helping me get the wash off the clothesline. Actually, they will even fight over who gets to take the items and put them in the basket for me. I have to regulate the taking of turns. That is how serious they are about it! So, this afternoon I was about to head out to get the wash and asked Serena if she wanted to come help me. (In all honesty, it was kind of a tactic to distract her from pestering Jordan, who was trying to relax for a bit after an afternoon of working hard on some outdoor projects.) Serena was a little reluctant, but I convinced her to come along and she could play with Daddy when we came back in. As soon as we got outside, she headed for the crabapple tree and started climbing it. I said, “Serena, I thought you were going to help me with the wash!” Her reply? “This is how I help sometimes!”
