We've been pretty effectively cooped up with all the sicknesses this week. I have to admit that I didn't realize just how much Bret & Serena play together until it was my job to keep Bret busy all by myself! No help from Serena, since she was just a lump on the couch. The first day, I didn't do a very good job at all. The second day, I had a few ideas up my sleeves that proved to work really well. And since then, we've been doing okay, but this little guy sure does miss his playmate!!!

The following play dough pictures are pre-sickness...I just hadn't gotten around to posting them yet!

Serena showing off her play dough crocodile named "Junior" (from PD Eastman's book "Flap Your Wings" -- Serena LOVES that story) |
|
Since Serena was showing off her crocodile, Bret had to show off his...um...lump of play dough! Yay, Bret! ;) |

Hard little workers |

I don't know how many times I've had to tell Bret NOT to eat the play dough. But, inevitably, he will try just a teensy-weensy bite. I caught the sequence this time; I love it! The taste, the sideways glance at Mama, the grimace, the attempt to remove the play dough, the laugh, more attempts to remove the play dough, and more grimaces! |
|
With no Serena to play with, Bret has turned his attentions to the up-and-coming playmate. So far, the only thing he can think of to do with him is to sit on him. Cody doesn't seem to mind, so I haven't interfered. ;) |

Even our sick little girl dragged herself off the couch long enough to try this new game, haha! (Am I going to be turned in to DHS for allowing this?) |
|
I just love that they both have those big pot bellies, heehee! |
|
He's a pretty big dude for only 4 1/2 months! |
