We missed out on Christmas with my side of the family this year. :( So, while we were visiting last week, we celebrated Christmas with my mom! She was so sweet to even leave the tree up for us! :)

The kids had SO much fun opening their presents and loved everything they received!
Mom took us out to eat at Panera. I ordered Mac & Cheese for the kids, which they LOVED. We don't ever have Mac & Cheese (no, really, we don't!), so it was a special treat! So special, that when one of the pieces of pasta fell to the floor, we had a hard time convincing Bret to just leave it there. Before I had a chance to explain that the floor was dirty and we would not want to eat anything off of it, Serena chimed in, "Don't eat it, Bret! Someone else will come and eat it." What? Is that really what you think, Serena? Maybe we need to get out more!
Mom & I went to Goodwill and found a dirty old kitchen (in otherwise great shape!) for less than $4!!! My little worker-bees loved helping Grammie wash up the kitchen, and it looked great by the time they were done!!! (Grammie provided the extra elbow-grease.) THEN came the fun of filling it up with all Grammie's play dishes and food!! The kids definitely got it broke in during the couple days we were there!

| We got to see 6-wk-old Kael! Serena just loved seeing him, holding him, talking to him, etc. I love how much she loves babies! |
