Horak Christmas

Our wonderful Christmas continued as we spent a couple days with Jordan's family!  The kids got to spend quite a bit of time playing outside in the snow.  It was hilarious watching them jump on the trampoline while all bundled up in their winter gear!  ;D  Of course, they had many books read (and sung) to them; played with their cousins; and got teased and tickled and spun around in the barber chair!

Cody is turning into quite a Grandpa's buddy!!  Cody would follow Grandpa around, or yell at him if he tried to go do something without him!  I have a theory that Cody still remembers all the scraps of ham Grandpa fed him at Thanksgiving.  ;)
We opened a few presents Christmas Eve with Andria and her family.  The girls got matching "Little House on the Prairie" outfits (sunbonnet, dress, bloomers, apron, and a nightcap!) and a "Little House" picture book.  Serena was enraptured, as she is so into the "Little House on the Prairie" books right now!  Each of the kids also received their very own tin cup!

Bret was really excited about his tin cup!  Too sweet!

Serena in her "Ma clothes" (as she calls them, haha!)

Bret tried on the nightcap, heehee!  I just love Nana's face in the background; she was getting such a kick out of Bret!

After the kids ran off to play, we cleaned up a bit.  It didn't last long, though!  Cody discovered the bag of wrapping paper and spent a happy 10 minutes emptying it out again!

Bret loved LOVED when Nana let him walk around with her "walking stick" (as he called it)

Cody loved sitting on Pa's lap during all the present-opening commotion

Happy girl  :)

Christmas morning, we opened some more presents.  This was mostly the adult's presents, but the kids had a couple little things, too.  Serena & Bret got picture books, which they love; and Bret opened his stomp rocket.  Oh, the stomp rocket!  Bret and stomp rockets were made for each other!  Just look at that face!  Haha!  Since bringing it home, he has gotten lots of mileage out of it, and is learning the finer points of aiming. ;)  He even experimented with aiming it right back at himself, hahahaha!

Seriously, that face!  The twinkly eyes!  He's dangerous now, folks!
This video is about a minute long, and it captures Bret's first couple stomp rocket launches  :)
