I am so thankful that God gave me
God’s goodness to us constantly overwhelms me. What an amazing thing to be able to enjoy the gift of marriage to a surrendered believer in Christ while preparing for a life of jointly serving God!
Another thing that surprises me is how much my perspective of God’s love has changed now that I have been married for a year and a half. (I know, that’s an incredibly long time! I must be so wise in matters of love and marriage now! Haha! Just kidding!) But seriously, there is no way to describe the love that
Ephesians 5:25-33 describes God’s intention for marriage to reflect His own selfless and unconditional love for the Church. Before I was married, I had observed this kind of love in my parent’s marriage and in others; but it is incredible to actually experience it. This is not to say that someone who is married to a husband who does not love them as he should or that someone who is not married at all cannot understand God’s love for them. What an incredible post, Jenn. I totally understand what you're saying - and you said it so perfectly! It's amazing to have someone who loves you - no matter what - and that you can share the gift of life with! What an incredible thing - as I'm learning over and over again!!
On a lighter note, we're coming over to NBBC for Springfest with the youth group from our church. Will you be there then? Maybe I can sneak away during the day and just chat with you! I miss you too!
