Good Times in MN

After spending a few days in IA over the 4th of July, we headed up to MN to spend the weekend with my family. We went to the races with Julie on Friday night. It was so fun to get to see Mr. Malmanger (a man from my church back home) race! :) Throughout the evening, the sponsors of the race (Martin County Pork) were giving away little prizes by calling out the numbers of random tickets. Jordan was holding the tickets, but our numbers weren't getting called (of course, they never do!) until towards the end when we were hardly paying attention anymore...then, all of a sudden they called one of our numbers! I was SO excited!!! They gave us a little thing of pork seasoning (the special Martin County blend - haha!) and a meat thermometer! I was just thrilled, not really because the prizes were amazing, but just because I love winning things!! :) Then, a little later, a lady was throwing pink rubber-band bracelets into the crowd (you know, those thick ones that everyone is wearing lately) and Jordan got one for me! I love wearing it! It says "Go Hog Wild" on it! Hahaha! :D On Saturday morning Julie and I went out for breakfast at Perkins with Christa. Once again Perkins did not have the Chocolate Chip Bavarian Cream muffin, so I ordered the Heath muffin. Maybe someday I will be able to try the Chocolate Chip Bavarian Cream muffin...! Saturday evening the Jensons had a party for Micah's birthday. We got to go and see lots of church friends and just hang out with everyone! It was so fun to be with them all again! Sunday, of course, was wonderful to be able to go to my home church!!!! For lunch on Sunday Jordan grilled steaks for us all and did a SUPERB job! Makes me anxious for the day when we can have a grill! Especially now that I know what a wonderful grill-meister he is! ;) Thanks Mom and Julie for the fun weekend!!! Love you girls!
