Prayer Requests

There have been a few things lately that have been weighing on my heart and have become matters of earnest prayer. It occurs to me that most of the people who read my blog faithfully are my brothers and sisters in Christ...people who I could call upon to pray with me. So, I am going to add a new "Prayer Requests" feature to my sidebar. I will probably first post the request like I am about to do now, and then add them to my sidebar and post updates as they come. Thank you for joining with us in prayer over these matters.

Jordan will be finishing his MABS degree in May. That's definitely a praise! :) So the prayer request is just, "What's next?" Jordan would like to finish his M. Div., which means going to seminary. Of course, we have been praying about this decision for the last 2 years, but now the time to make the decision is coming very soon. We have pretty much narrowed it down to either Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Minneapolis, MN; or Faith Baptist Theological Seminary in Ankeny, IA. We are going to be visiting Faith soon and will hopefully get some good direction as a result of that. Please pray for us! This is so exciting, but we want to be sure we are where God wants us to be!

As I mentioned in a previous post, my sister Jessica is battling with both Crohn's Disease and Chronic Myloid Leukemia. Lately, her blood tests have been very encouraging; but a couple weeks ago, she developed what appears to be cellulitis. The doctor put her on some antibiotic, but things are not healing up very quickly; in fact, it seems like it might be getting worse. Please pray that God will give the doctors wisdom as Mom and Jess consult them again this week. Pray that Jess will have some relief and see some improvement in this! I could go on and on listing all the things that you could pray for concerning Jess, my Mom, and the rest of our family in regards to Jess's health. But God knows our needs, and will comfort us and give us grace as we need it, which is what He has always done for us!

In all these things, we want God to be glorified! Please pray!

I am reminded of a passage that you shared in Sunday School with us girls "ages" ago. Ephesians 3:14-21. You and Jordan will be in my prayers as you make this big decision, and Jess will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, along with your family, as she struggles with these health issues. Love You!

I get very excited to hear of another guy continuing on for further education! Don and I will pray for you guys entering the world of seminary as we exit this May. (I can't believe Virginia Beach wasn't one of your choices *wink, wink*) I'm excited for you guys. Let us know where the Lord directs!

I will pray for you both as you seek God's direction. How exciting that you both will be moving on to someplace new. I'll also pray for your sister. It's not easy having someone close to you struggling with such difficult health issues.
