In a Blizzard

It's been snowing like crazy for the last 24 hours or so! Poor Kelly (the grounds guy here at Northland) can hardly keep up with it! He's been doing snow removal practically non-stop! I don't know how many inches we have so far...I would ask Jordan, but he might make fun of me for blogging about it! Haha! :D

Jordan is almost done with the first block course of the year. For some reason I seem to forget from one block course to the next just how much Jordan's time is strapped when he's in a block course! I really have to work on keeping myself occupied so that I don't bother him too much while he is studying! On the other hand, I do enjoy hearing about the discussions and lectures from the classes that Jordan takes; and I learn a lot by proof-reading his papers! This week Jordan has put in some fairly late nights, so this evening he decided he needed some extra caffeine to get him through to the end of the paper that is due tomorrow morning. Daily Grind to the rescue! :) I was quite happy to be of service and brave the blizzard to make the run up to the Daily Grind.... A caramel machiatto with 3 shots of espresso will do the trick, I think! And, of course, I made out with a cafe au lait for myself! I'm really looking forward to Saturday, though!!! :)

I'm having trouble thinking of anything really 'fun' to blog about. Around here there's just snow and Jordan's block course. Back home Jason & Julia got to bring Kaden up to Minnesota to visit everyone this past weekend. The church even had a baby shower for them, which was such a sweet blessing! I stole a few pictures from Julie's Facebook so I can show off my cute nephew! ;)

Kaden - about 3 weeks old now!

My mom with Julia and Kaden. My mom is so pretty, isn't she? It's hard to believe she's a grandma!

My beautiful sisters with Kaden

I realized I had a couple more cute pictures from our visit in Iowa that I hadn't posted yet. Here's Julia and I at Panchero's a week after Kaden was born.

And here's the four of us. That was such a fun time! Miss you guys!

Thanks for sharing you beautiful family with us! I love hearing about your life back up in WI. I thought of those NBBC students today when I was watching Good Morning America. They said that it was 19 below or so up there. I thought - boy, do I miss that COLD! Don and I discussed this yesterday as it was 50's and raining down here. We would so much prefer cold and snow, then this disgusting weather! It's just miserable and it feels so much colder and yucky than a beautiful snow with some real cold!
