Intramural Basketball

Intramural basketball took place at the end of April/beginning of May. Jordan got on an "A" League team with some other really good guys. They had a great time playing during their 'regular season' (which only lasted a couple of weeks), but did not have a very good record going into the playoffs. However, they quickly became the "Cinderella" team as they stormed through the playoffs winning all their games!! Jordan had some really good games, sinking lots of 3-pointers and playing some very good defense. We came back from Watertown on the 3rd in just enough time for Jordan to play in the championship game. Although his team did a great job, they were not able to pull off the win. However, it was still a very exciting season, and a good way to wrap up his intramural basketball career at Northland! :)

(They used the big court and pulled out the bleachers for the spectators; usually they just use half-courts and let the spectators sit along the walls! It was very exciting!)

Norway Anniversary Sunday & Church Picnic

Every year, Norway Baptist Church celebrates the anniversary of its founding by having a commemorative Sunday morning service followed by a church picnic. The service is made special by a video/slideshow of pictures from the past year's church events and by testimonies shared by different ones in the church. Then, everyone brings food to share at our church picnic, and then many participate in the annual kickball game. :) It's always a great time for making memories, eating great food, and spending time with the church family! This year's Anniversary Sunday landed on May 4th. We had great weather (though a little on the windy side), and many of the church family were able to spend the whole afternoon at the park! It was a great time!

Jordan was helping out by pouring drinks, and ended up getting sprayed by some Dr. Thunder that had apparently gotten a little shook up! I still thought he was the best-looking guy, even with all the pop splattered on his shirt! ;) But I think he was glad he had brought a change of clothes to play in!
