I found a couple pictures from our drive from Dunbar to Cedar Rapids:
As we were driving down the road, we had a couple cars pass us honking, so we figured we had better stop to see why they were honking at us. My imagination started going to work right away, and by the time we got our rig stopped, I had already envisioned the back door of the truck open and all our things strewn about the interstate and the front of the car all banged up from them.... As it turned out, we had blown a tire and pretty much demolished what was left on the rim. Pretty impressive, huh.
On Sunday afternoon, we drove over to West Des Moines to move into our new apartment! Grant came along with us, and then Jordan's cousin Tyson met us there (he had picked up the key for our apartment the day before since the office isn't open on Sundays). We were very pleasantly surprised to find out that the apartment had been recarpeted since we had seen it on Tuesday!!! :) What a blessing! Jason & Julia and Kaden showed up a little later so we could have another guy with muscles for moving the big things (I was referring to Jason's muscles, not Kaden's), and it was fun to get to see them again! :) Jordan's mom and sisters also drove over to help, and they brought supper for everyone!! That was such a blessing too!! The actual unloading of the truck did not take very long at all. Thanks to Julia, I have a few pictures of that event! :)Julia & I (awe, aren't we cute?!) We're practically neighbors now!!!! :D
Kaden was such a trooper! Here he is charming Mom Horak! :)

Too bad I didn't take any pictures of what the apartment looked like after all the boxes were brought in here! :P Sunday night, after everyone left, I was kinda wondering where I should even begin unpacking. Then, Jordan answered that question by suggesting we go for a motorcycle ride! I gladly accepted the invitation! :) It was wonderful to get out on the road and get cooled off and just relax a little while exploring our new surroundings! We spent the rest of the evening playing MarioKart on our Wii! It was a great way to wrap up our moving day! ;)
Monday through Wednesday, we unpacked our things. Now everything is unpacked and the boxes are in the dumpster (wonderful feeling, putting the boxes in the dumpster!!) except for the sound system and other electronics. Jordan's going to get to those soon...or so he says! Heehee! ;) Maybe I'll work on taking pictures tomorrow since a couple persistent people keep asking for them! :D
One other exciting event I will mention before going to bed...
We got a car!!! :D It's a 2005 Mazda3. We looked at it and bought it on Monday and picked it up today. It's so nice!!! :)
Sorry I don't have a better picture yet! This is from this afternoon when we were picking up the car. It was at a pretty farm about 20 minutes from us.

Glad you made it safely! I was in Iowa this past weekend with all of my family for my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. I kept thinking about you all! My parents both went to Faith in Ankeny. Hope you get settled! If we are ever in IA again, we will look you up!
