The other day, we were taking Macy to our favorite park here in WDM, the Raccoon River Park, and she was so whiny and squirmy! She usually acts that way on the way there, and then on the way back she usually falls asleep because the park just tires her out! :) So, for whatever reason, Jordan started mocking her whining sounds back to her, and then he started to take it a step further and actually howl. This got Macy very worked up and she started howling too! It was HILARIOUS! We were both laughing so hard at the way she would just throw her head back and howl!! It's especially funny because other than whining, Macy never barks or anything unless she is really worked up about something (like the doggie in the window, haha!). ;) At the park, we take a trail that is not very heavily used and let Macy run around and snif at things to her hearts' content. She is very captivated by bugs right now...flying, crawling, jumping, it doesn't matter! :D We usually take her down to the beach on that trail and let her play in the water a little. She gets so dirty! :P But, it's so fun to watch her!

Does anyone else find it mildly disturbing how much you treat her like your child? Actually you treat her better than I treat my children! :-) You all will make great parents someday! I can just see Jordan now howling with a newborn at 3 in the morning! :-)All in good time!
I love your howling family, I am so glad that your not howling along, jk. Its a cute video, but soon you wont be able to get Macy to stop!

Wow!!! Macy is getting so BIG!! She's really a howling cutie----quite impressed with Jordan's ability to howl, also!!! Love and miss you guys!! MOM R.
that was such a fun movie :) jordan is so cute how he takes such good care of her, and it's a cute moment when they are on the beach playing, too. i love it how macy runs ahead on the path and stops to look back to make sure you two are still coming! don't let her grow anymore until i see her in person, ok!?
love you guys!
Debbie - I think it's funny that you mentioned us treating Macy like our child because it's something I thought I'd never do (become one of those married couples who treats their dog like their child)! Hahaha!
Sara - I'm not too concerned with Macy getting into the habit of howling. She's not really a very vocal dog at all...except for whining!
Julie - I can't wait until you can see Macy too!!! :)
