Ultrasound Pictures of Our Baby

Since it is quickly becoming the most-frequently-asked question now that we know we're having a girl, I thought I'd start out by saying that no, we have not picked out a name yet!  We decided back at the beginning of the pregnancy to save the name-choosing marathon for after we found out the gender of our child so that the list of choices could at least be narrowed down that much!  ;)  When we decide, we'll probably share it with everyone...I'm so ready to call our baby by name!  :D

The other question that everyone keeps asking is, "How is Jordan doing?"  Jordan made it no secret that he wanted to have a BOY!  But, of course, he's doing fine.  ;)  He was disappointed about not getting to have a boy first, but thankfully we have a firm believe in the sovereignty of God in our lives!!

It was amazing to see how much our baby had changed since the last ultrasound two months ago!  We could see how everything is in proportion now (no more head and body being the same size!); and we got to see all sorts of details like her profile, her heart (with all the chambers perfectly formed!), her feet and hands (we could count the fingers & toes!), and of course, her little girl-parts (heehee!)!  :D  She was moving around so much, it was so neat to see!  She stretched out her legs and then curled them back up again, and waved her arms around a lot.  One time she opened her mouth and the technician said she was drinking the amniotic fluid that she is suspended in.  It was amazing!  She put her hands up to her mouth and sucked on them a little too!  I seriously could have watched her all day!  The technician spent a long time getting all the measurements she needed.  She said that our little peanut is a little over 13 centimeters long (which is a little over 5 inches) from crown to rump, and that she weighs about 10 ounces (though I've heard that the ultrasounds are not very accurate at giving weight estimates!).  After she was finished, the technician was so kind and patient with Jordan and I, letting us look for a good long time!  Then, Jordan went and got his parents and Grant & Anna from the waiting room so they could come and see our little peanut in action too!  In all, I think the ultrasound lasted almost an hour!  :)

Here are the pictures of our little beauty!

Here she is waving her hand in front of her face

Putting her hand in her mouth

This is a picture of her back, showing her spinal column.  Pretty amazing!

A shot of her foot

Another look at that adorable little foot

This is a picture of her arm and hand

Her face

Another one of her face.  The ultrasound shadows make her look like an alien!  Haha!

Her face again

Back to looking at her profile

Another profile shot

One last time.  She does have a cute little nose, doesn't she?  ;)
