I never imagined when I wrote my first post on December 18, 2005 that I would be here 3 years and 8 months later writing my five hundredth post! But this blog has been far from a passing fad for me! Blogging has become a big part of my life! I have come to treasure this little journal with all its pictures and anecdotes. I've had my ups and downs with it...there have been 3 different times where I only posted 5 times in one month, but then I've had a 23-post month and a 21-post month, too! Overall, I've averaged a little over 11 posts per month, or 2-3 posts per week. Of course, having weekly posts like "Favorite Things Fridays" (which I did last year) and "Updates on Baby Horak" have helped motivate me to keep posting on a regular basis! Another thing that keeps me posting is the encouragement I get from staying in contact through my blog with my friends and family. I love your comments, and I love reading your blogs too! So, here's to another 500 posts!! I wonder what our lives will be like by then?!
