An ENTIRE Apple
We spent the afternoon/evening at Jordan’s parent’s today. Serena had a serious conversation with Grandma where she said something like this, “Do you have any rakes laying around? We need two, because Bwet will probably not want to wait, and we need to rake up ALL the leaves.” She‘s a little obsessed with raking leaves these days! ;)
Serena wanted Auntie Anna to put her to bed for her nap. The last time the kids took naps at Grandma‘s house, I had to have a serious conversation with Serena for playing with some of Auntie Anna‘s things during naptime. I explained to her that we need to ask first before playing with other people‘s things. About a half hour into naptime today, we heard Serena call over the monitor, “Auntie Anna! I forgot to ask you if I could touch your stuff!” Well, at least she remembered to ask!
As we were leaving tonight, Grandpa gave Serena & Bret each an apple to take home. They both obviously thought this was pretty special! Serena put hers safely in a bag which she placed carefully on the floor of the truck. Bret, however, wanted to hold his. About halfway home, Serena announced, “Mommy! Bwet is eating his apple!“ I looked back, and saw that yes indeed, he was about half done with it! I assured Serena that it was just fine for him to eat his apple, and pretty soon the two of them were passing it back and forth eating the apple. When we got home, the apple was gone. I mean ALL. GONE. There wasn’t so much as a stem or a seed to be found! Haha!
