Last night as Julie was saying goodnight to Serena, she told her that the next time she saw her would probably be Christmas at Grammie’s. So, Serena‘s first question upon waking this morning was, “Are we going to Christmas at Grammie’s today?” Awe! ;)
We braved the yucky rainy weather to go to storytime at the library. On our way, I talked to Mom and found out that she and Julie and Kaden were on our side of town, too! So, they met us at the library for story time. Bret was so excited when Grammie walked in and he shouted “Grammie!” and ran over to sit on her lap. It was pretty sweet! Later, he walked up to where Serena was sitting up by the leader. Serena patted the floor next to her as she said softly, “Sit down Bwet” over and over in a very encouraging voice. Finally, Bret turned to come back by me and sat down. She watched him and when he finally sat down, she said, “There you go.” She’s such a good big sister!
We went to Grandma & Grandpa’s after running errands. I went over some music theory with Anna while the kids took naps. Serena never did fall asleep; she was too busy playing with her baby and reading her books. ;) She needed me to come up a couple times for various reasons. The first time, she said, “Don’t put me back to sleepy; I need to go to some stores!“ The second time it was, “I’m going to Sarah’s house.” What an imagination! The amazing part is that she’s just in a little pack-n-play!
