We've been working pretty hard on getting settled in. I got the bulk of the boxes unpacked within the first two days of moving in. I just don't like having things all topsy-turvy, so I was pretty motivated! I've found that it really helps the kids adjust more quickly if their bedroom and toys are all set up like normal.

The kids got picture books for Christmas, and they LOVE them! Here's Serena reading one to Cody. Notice Olie in the sling. ;) |
This probably makes me a weird dog-person, but I'm really happy that we can give our two doggies, Macy & Rocky, the run of the house with us again! I just love these two!

The boppy pillow is usually occupied by one of the doggies when I'm not using it |

Rocky pretty much just tolerates the activities of the day. He pines for the hour that Jordan walks in the door! |

Craftroom? I WISH! Honestly, I'm not sure I would get anything done IN my craftroom if I had one, since I am a very popular person in this household these days. Believe it or not, I have a better chance at crafting if I keep it out in the daily fray of activity. Most of the items sewn here have been with a little person on my lap, putting pins back in their little container as I remove them from the item I'm sewing. ;) As you see, I've got a whole wall of our (rather small) living room monopolized with my sewing machine and other crafting paraphernalia! Christmas presents and all sorts of other Pinterested goodies are being made here, so I'll have to wait until they're in the hands of their intended recipients and then I'll do a nice braggy post about all the stuff I've been making. ;) |
