Our Third Merry Christmas

This past Friday Jordan and I had our Christmas celebration after we got home from work. I made some Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and some breadsticks for our special meal. :)

After supper we exchanged gifts.

I gave Jordan a new computer bag to carry his new computer in. It's leather! :)

Jordan gave me a guitar!!!

There's kind of a little story behind this present: I have been thinking about getting a guitar for several years, but just never had the 'extra money' to put into something like that. So, a few weeks ago, one of the guys who works in Maintenance, Tyler, brought his guitar into the office because another guy in Maintenance, Jason, was thinking about buying it. Well, since it was there, I took a look at it, and told Jordan about how nice it was and that I would love to have a guitar someday! So, we talked about it and decided that if Jason did not end up buying the guitar that we would talk to Tyler about buying it ourselves. A couple days later, I asked Jason if he had decided to buy the guitar, and he said that he had, so that was the end of that. In the meantime, after Black Friday, Jordan kept telling me about this awesome Christmas present he had gotten me and that he couldn't wait to give it to me because I would be so surprised and I would just love it. So, he kept pushing for us to have Christmas earlier and earlier, while I wanted to wait until as close to Christmas as possible to open presents. Well, we ended up opening them on Friday, and Jordan had to run to Bobby's house to get my present, which he had been storing over there. Since a guitar is kinda hard to wrap, he just had me close my eyes, and he put it down in front of me. I was shocked! It was Tyler's guitar!! All this time, Jordan and Tyler and Jason were working together to deceive me.... I have to say I'm pretty impressed that all three of those guys were able to keep the secret and make sure their stories lined up well enough that I could not figure it out! :)

I have been doing a lot of 'practicing' in an attempt to build up tough fingers. So far, I can play some scales, and I am fairly good at the C chord and the G chord. :) I am just using internet websites to teach myself. So far so good!
