Daddy's Birthday

We took a special birthday cake into the store for Jordan today since he had to work ALL DAY LONG on his birthday!  Otherwise, the kids wouldn’t have seen him all day!  It turned out great, since no one was in the store when we came in!  The other sales guys were trying to get Serena to sing “Happy Birthday” to Jordan (we had told them that she was pretty good at it), but she was very hesitant.  I didn’t think she was just being shy (she LOVES having an audience when she sings), so asked her why she didn’t want to sing.  She said she wanted to wait and sing tomorrow at Daddy’s party.  After we assured her that she could STILL sing tomorrow, she broke into song!

This afternoon, the kids painted pictures for Daddy.  Serena’s painting abilities have really progressed, so that she‘s now trying to paint in the lines and such.  Pretty neat to see!  Bret, on the other hand…he’s lucky if he gets any color on the page!  ;)
