6-Month Comparison

Bret is 6 months old! He's weighing in at a little more than 16 pounds. He keeps himself busy rolling all over the floor! He pushes himself up as high as he can and then tries to get up on his knees. Once up, he rocks back and forth a little and then starts yelling because he doesn't know what to do next! He loves playing with any object he can get his hands on; but he inevitably bats or flings it out of his own reach, and then he yells in protest! He's still very ticklish and has a grin at the ready for anyone who stops to give him the time of day. He especially loves Serena, who loves him right back! The other day, she came into the house and saw me holding Bret. "Bet!!" she greeted him happily. "Uck, uck." (Meaning hug) I bent down and she gave him a big hug and a few kisses! It was pretty sweet! She always makes sure he has books and toys to play with. When I change Serena's diaper, I lay Bret down next to me and he immediately starts rolling around and contorting himself so he can grab big fistfuls of Serena's blonde curls. Thankfully, at this point, Serena actually thinks this is funny and even asks for "more" as I gently disengage Bret's grasp!
