Camp has been over for a while now, but I still feel like it just ended! Hence, I am just now getting around to posting about it! Hopefully next year I will do a better job of posting about camp during camp.
Camp was really great! We had such awesome staff! Even though we had days on end of record-breaking HOT temps, they didn't let it dampen their spirits! We've heard how God worked in the campers' hearts while they were here, and that has been very exciting. But, to me, I think the neatest thing was to see how God worked in the hearts of our staff.
Here are a few of my favorite pix of the staff (and Jordan, heehee!).
This pose earned him the nickname "Ewok," even though Jordan insisted his official summer nickname was "Striker" ;)
Water balloon targets!
Such bravado!
Our friendly camp registration table
I just like this picture :)
Jordan played countless games of carpetball! The sound of the balls on those wooden tables traveled easily across the lake and became a very familiar backdrop to our summer days.
Cabin cleanup report. It was always funny to hear about what Jordan found in the cabins...especially the letters left for him!
Clash day really brought out the crazy side of the counselors
Aaron & Megan, counselors for the Army team, were serious about winning
Jake & Krista, counselors for the Navy team, were in it for the fun
:)
Finally, the very last week, Jordan made an attempt on Clash Day. The staff LOVED it!
