Busy - ness
We had a very busy weekend. Thursday night we had the Campus Kids over. Jordan played X-Box with the boys while the girls and I went into Iron Mountain with Rachel Woodward and her Campus 'daughters' to a Mary Kay thing. We had so much fun doing 'girl stuff' together! :) Of course, we made a trip to Wal-Mart afterwards and I found the cutest black shoes! (Sorry, Julie, I forgot to take a picture of them for you!) Friday night Jordan had a bunch of guys over to play X-Box and I took the time for some much-needed piano practice. Saturday morning was the Leif Erickson Day parade in Norway. Our church had a float in the parade and lots of people were dressed up as Vikings and there were lots of fun booths and crafts, etc. We walked the street where everything was at and handed out flyers inviting kids to our teen activity we had planned for that afternoon. The activity was from 12:30 - 2:30. We played "Capture the Flag" and some bucket game that was really fun, but I had never played it before. Not sure what it was called. :) McDonalds kindly donated 50 cheeseburgers for us, so of course those were a big hit! We had 5 kids come who had never been to one of our events, so that was exciting! Our church teens did a great job of reaching out and inviting kids! Praise the Lord for the growth that we are seeing in their lives and also for the new contacts that we received over the weekend! That evening, Jordan and I went on a date into the exotic city of Iron Mountain (hee, hee!!) to celebrate my brithday. We had such a good time together! We hadn't really done anything just the two of us like that since the semester started! When we got back home, we watched "The Greatest Game Ever Played." If you haven't seen that movie yet, I would highly recommend it! It's about golf, girls, so even your husbands will like it! Haha! ;) Anyway, that's just a little recap of what we've been up to! I took a bunch of pictures on Saturday, so I'll post those next! :)
